i've wanted to just kind of leave this alone since it's Just Annoying Children™️ but since it's not really stopped, i'm gonna point it out for my own sake to clear up my name
(not going to name who's involved just yet, they are just children who probably don't know any better after all)

but around mid-december or so, an impersonation - sorry, "parody account", according to them - was made of me by a group of people who are mad at me (the reason being i called them cringe a few times)

i didn't think all too much of it, it was deleted after the person who made it was confronted about it by their instance admin at the time, until a week later when screenshots were posted of the account (by the one person who was following it) DMing people with weird stuff.

a few people of this group have now started taking this as a way to accuse me of "talking to minors" (and in later posts, "grooming minors and saying weird stuff to them"). not really anything short of actual pedophilia accusations

everybody involved has since been banned from wetdry.world, only after finding out the DMs being sent from the account, and any instance they're on has usually taken quick action when this sort of behaviour is continued, for fairly obvious reasons (being that instance admins don't really want to harbour harassment like this)

all this over calling someone cringe is honestly ridiculous, but here we are 🙃

@ipg seeing you go through this in real time and how much it affected you was incredibly upsetting to watch im really sorry you had to go through this emma and im glad you're finally able to come forward about this shit.
there's no justification for this kind of behaviour and i really hope the people involved are held accountable

Regarding this post by @ipg, I wanted to make another public statement, since I've been thrown along with the case.

The user(s) involved in this campaign have published (in their full right) the email I sent to one of them explaining the reasons for their ban. Coral Castle administration does not take bans lightly, and this was performed with the reporting parties sending reciepts of a breach of community guidelines. Even if done outside of the instance, it opens up the risk of repeating the same actions here, especially since the parties have not issued a public apology. As an administrator I am within my full right to enact these sanctions.

There is a clear difference between parodying and criticizing someone and falsifying evidence to harass them. Parodies are explicit in tone and criticism is done when a party is percieved to have commited a mistake. In this case neither of these conditions were the case. The account did not clarify that it was a parody, neither did the post, and the only thing it did is taint Emma's image amongst its peers.

Do better.

the general hatred still has to stop entirely, from all 4 or so of you, because it's clear all it's done so far is get progressively worse. it started as "wow fuck emma" 3 weeks ago to someone who got involved later saying, and i quote, "emma groomed minors". an apology ultimately means nothing if it will eventually happen again when one person takes it too far
